Thanks for the comment, Rob. I truly appreciate it. I'm still thrashing about in some of the information overload I've talked about and sometimes miss doing things in a timely way. One of my goals, to eliminate Information Overload, is still one of my obstacles, too.

I have been going through the same thought process recently. Working on too many things at once & not getting anywhere fast.

I think you have hit the nail on the head in the need to setting clear, specific goals. But not just any goals. You want to set goals that will motivate you to action.

Also the swipe file is a great idea.

To Your Success,

Rob Willis

Yeah Rob! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I, too, have been seeing the shift from quantity to quality in such venues as Twitter, in particular. It's just such a great fit for what I'm doing at the moment and has not been a problem for me. Now, Facebook... that one gets me. I'm sure it has good marketing potential and I'm just not using it right. But my FB page seems to have so much trivia on it. Fun, but I don't have time for trivia lately. I get a lot more done on Twitter.
Thanks, and I'm honored you came by!

Hey Roberta,

Interesting presentation!! I think social media definitely has it's place and it's effectiveness has been underrated due to the spammy nature of mediums like twitter.

I'm noticing a shift, particularly in twitter from quantity to quality being the goal. Many people are unfollowing huge volumes of followers. I'm definitely considering reviewing my account sometime soon.

Great to hear you're enjoying success and wishing you all the best.

Hey Sean, You're right. Very interesting stuff. I myself have enjoyed riding the wave with the Baby Boomers, and am sad to realize that the wave will hit the beach sooner than we would like. I hope my kids will understand me in the nursing home when I'm singing Beach Boys songs from my wheelchair! But that's still a long way off... LOL.

Hi Estani,
I appreciate you coming by my blog and leaving your comment! I'm especially impressed to hear that you met your life partner through social media! That's becoming more common, too, and is already a significant avenue of meeting other people. I think it's great!

Wow Roberta. That video certainly leaves no doubt as to where communication is heading and indeed well and truly already way down the road.

Interesting to note that the fastest growing segment of people joining Facebook is that of females between the ages of 55 and 65 years.

It rather reinforces the idea that baby boomers are still well and truly a force to be reckoned with and stepping up to the challenge of remaining an integral part of society well into the future.

Hi Keith,
I agree with Rod's comments, too. What I object to are the sneaky, or forced continuity schemes. Continuity marketing, per se, is a valid business model, and I'm glad to see PayPal supports it. I think Clickbank supports subscriptions now, too, and I guess you could consider that as a "continuity" model. It eliminates the arduous task of fighting for cancellation, like some of the others who shoved their program down your throat and now aren't willing to honor their "guarantee" that wasn't really honest.

Those who are straight forward about what they're promoting or selling are fine and won't really be hurt by the new rules. They may only have to shift their system into PayPal or Clickbank to avoid the credit card "slap." I like the idea of a third party supervising it.

Good luck with your program, Keith. Thanks for commenting!

Hi Roberta,

I'm leaning towards Rod's view on continuity as I've been charged one continuity I opted out of more than one time and had to go through the credit company.

Like Marc I am also looking at doing a continuity program but it will use Paypal.
It is very easy in Paypal for customers to cancel any continuity (for anyone who doesn't know click 'profile' and look at the links under 'financial information' - recurring payments and pre-approved payments and you see who is currently authorised to charge you)

Thanks
